We’ve posted the basically-completed annotations for issue/chapter 2 of Neonomicon. All Moore-Lovecraft material is linked through our annotations index. If you haven’t already done so, we highly recommend reading The Courtyard first, and then Neonomicon. Our annotations contain lots of spoilers, and they won’t make that much sense unless you read the comics alongside them.

We’re still adding images and more detail. Let us know in the comments if there is anything we missed, and tell us what you think.

Annotations for Neonomicon #1 are here; #3 and #4 are coming soon.

We’ve posted the basically-completed annotations for issue/chapter 1 of Neonomicon. All Moore-Lovecraft material is linked through our annotations index. Though there’s plenty of good discussion of Neonomicon on-line, we didn’t find a panel-by-panel annotation for it, so we compiled ours. If you haven’t already, please read The Courtyard first, and then Neonomicon, because the annotations contain plenty of juicy spoilers. Let us know in the comments if there is anything we missed, or otherwise what you think.

We’re working to annotate the remaining Neonomicon issues 2-4, hopefully before Providence #1 comes out in May.

Providence Annotations Underway!

Robert Derie and I have our Providence annotations underway – find them at our annotations index page. Providence, the new comic book by Alan Moore and Jacen Burrows, doesn’t actually come out until May 2015, but the cover artwork for issues #1 and #2 are already available on-line. It’s not just the regular cover, but there are four variant covers for each issue: dreamscape, pantheon, portrait, and women of H.P. Lovecraft.

In addition, Robert has posted his excellent essay on Alan Moore’s road to Providence, and a bibliography listing of Moore’s Lovecraft-themed work, including comics, other fiction, various writings, and interviews. We’ll keep updating these as we go along… and we’re hoping to annotate Neonomicon, too, while we’re at it.

Enjoy. Please comment to let us know if you spot things that have gotten past us.
